In
early June of 2000 I injured
my left shoulder playing a
game of pickup basketball.
Physiotherapy was not helpful
at all.
Dr.
Chambul took a keen interest
in my situation and put me
through various tests and examinations
with the help of x-rays, and
he immediately determined the
cause of my pain and inability
for my shoulder to heal.

proper regime and accurate
identification of the injury,

In
early June of 2000 I injured my left shoulder
playing a game of pickup basketball. Suffice
it to say that I knew when the injury took
place that I had done some serious damage
to it as I had never encountered a feeling
like this before.
My
immediate response was to visit our family
doctor. He suggested that the problem would
require some rest and that if it kept bothering
me after a few weeks to come back. I returned
back within a few weeks and he suggested
I undertake physiotherapy. With a sense
of relief as to how this problem would
be treated, I proceeded to undergo physiotherapy
in a private clinic for the first few visits
and then work my way down to the OHIP clinic
as I felt better.
The
physiotherapy was not helpful at all. Through
a series of ultrasounds and laser therapy
(all of which lasted 15 minutes per visit)
and some haphazard exercises with a theraband,
I felt very helpless and soon realized
that I was wasting my time with this and
my situation was not improving. This was
now July, 2001, a full year after my injury.
But luckily for me, that was all about
to change.
After
speaking with a close friend, she suggested
that I go to see Dr. Borys Chambul, a chiropractor.
My initial feeling was that chiropractors
only dealt with injuries involving the
back and spine, but according to my friend,
Dr. Chambul could work wonders and he could
really help me to heal my shoulder. I made
the decision to visit Dr. Chambul, and
it was the best decision I could have made
- a decision I wish I had made a year earlier.
Dr.
Chambul took a keen interest in my situation
and put me through various tests and examinations
with the help of x-rays, and he immediately
determined the cause of my pain and inability
for my shoulder to heal. His diagnosis
was completely different from the rest
of the "experts" that I had consulted,
and he determined that through the practice
of acupuncture he could help me to repair
and mend the damage that had been done.
I
have been going to Dr. Chambul since early
July, 2001, and I felt immediate improvements
from the first day. He prescribed an intense
regime of acupuncture and exercises that
I could perform at home. I am living proof
that with the proper regime and accurate
identification of the injury, anything
is possible. Dr. Chambul has brought me
back from the depths of despair with a
simple and effective treatment. I will
be in his debt forever.
